The Pinkney family moved to Fort McMurray in August of 1975 when Wayne accepted the position of Principal of the overflowing Peter Pond Junior-Senior High School. After 20 years as a school administrator Wayne chose early retirement, establishing Pinkney Financial Services.

Ryan attended K-12 in Fort McMurray Public Schools and graduated from the U of A in 1997, with a B ED majoring in mathematics. He taught math at the Fort McMurray Composite for two years. In 1999 Ryan left teaching to join Wayne at Pinkney Financial Services. Wayne and Ryan established Pinkney Tax Services in 2002.
Wayne’s wife Pat, a retired teacher, spends much of her time quilting and traveling with Wayne. Blessed with fourteen grandchildren (eleven boys), they spend much of their free and holiday time with family. Ryan and his wife Farah are the proud parents of four active young boys.

THE ENVIROCLEAN STORY

We had some discussions over the years in regards to the need for a better dry cleaning service in Fort Mc Murray, and in 2013 we were drawn back to looking at this topic again. We had become aware of a movement in certain areas of the United States, where new municipal ordinances were placing environmental protection guidelines on dry-cleaners. This development had spurred the rapid growth in some areas of the U.S., of a new dry cleaning process using a non-toxic dry cleaning solution. We partnered with a great environmental dry cleaner in Las Vegas, an experienced and knowledgeable supplier from Long Beach, the Green Garmento in Los Angeles, and our very special dedicated consultant from Fort Lauderdale, to bring environmentally friendly processes to Fort McMurray. With their help, we were able to bring eco-friendly dry cleaning, laundry, and seamstress services to Western Canada for the first time.
